Turn your old books in to cash for animal charity
CavyRescue - the UK's first dedicated rodent rescue - are
planning a charity book sale in October to raise much needed
funds for the Rescue.
The Kent-based charity - which has rescued, rehabiltated and
rehomed over 2,650 'small furries' since its formation in 1999
- is desperately fund-raising to get the money needed to help
them continue their work with small creatures and to build a
small animal hospital and rescue centre.
Stella Hulott, co-founder of CavyRescue, says: "If you
have some books you no longer want, please, please pass them
on to us. All types are acceptable, from paperback fiction to
hardback cookery books; children's books to hobby books. All
we ask is that they are in a saleable condition. It won't cost
you a penny - as long as you have a box full, we can collect
them from you - but will help us to save lives. And why not
ask your work colleagues, friends and family too - it will really
make a difference."

About CavyRescue:
CavyRescue (registered charity number 1111583) was set up in
1999 by husband and wife team Jason and Stella Hulott. They
have rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed over 2,600 small furries
(guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils), now specialising
in rats. Their aim is to educate individuals and organisations
on small animal healthcare and welfare and we regularly run
successful campaigns to this effect.
