Raise money for charity every time you search the internet
CavyRescue - the UK’s first dedicated rodent rescue charity
- is asking the public to help them raise the funds needed to
help them continue their work with abandoned, abused and unwanted
small furries – simply by using the click of their mouse.
They have teamed up with the search engine everyclick.com so
that every time you do a search on the internet, CavyRescue
get a donation. “It’s basically free giving” says Stella Hulott,
co-founder from the charity.
Everyclick works just like any other search engine, but allows
the users to choose the charity they would like to benefit from
their searching. The revenue generated for charities comes from
companies that advertise on the site. There is no sign up fee
or hidden charge to the user or the charity.
Stella continues: “If 10% of the UK online population opted
to raise finds for our charity via Everyclick for their searches,
an additional £172,000 would be raised for charity every day.
Within a week we would be able to realise our dream of a bespoke
rodent rescue sanctuary!”
Polly Gowers CEO of EveryClick says: “Most of us wish we could
give more, now we can. Everyclick is a really simple may to
raise money for free, just by doing something you already do.
As we see it every search that is not raising money for charity
is a search wasted.”
People wishing to help raise money for CavyRescue simply need
to register at Everyclick.com and select CavyRescue as their
chosen charity. It’s as simple as that!
CavyRescue was set up in 1999 and has rescued, rehabilitated
and rehomed over 2,850 small furries (guinea pigs, rabbits,
hamsters, gerbils and rats) via the shelter - which is run from
home - and its website. Its aim is to educate individuals and
organisations on small animal healthcare and welfare and they
regularly run successful campaigns to this effect.
